game-recon
rehan-remade/universal-modderSkill
Figure out how a specific installed game can be modded, before writing any mod code. Covers where it's installed, the engine and version, managed vs native code, anti-cheat, loaders already present, save and config folders, and the community's modding route. Also whether this machine can run it (a Windows game on macOS or Linux, x64 on ARM). Use when the user asks "can I mod <game>?", "what engine is <game>", "how do people mod <game>", or at the start of any modding task. Produces MODDING_PLAN.md.
Why this score
This repo hosts 10 skills, so its 8,452 stars are split between them (about 845 each) for scoring.
Popularity score: 78/100 from public GitHub signals only. It shows how widely used and maintained this is, not how well it works. Not included yet: the fake-star check. The security scan is shown separately and doesn't change the score. How we rank
Security
Scanned Oct 20, 2026 at commit 6a8865ae171b, with Cisco's open-source skill-scanner.
None of the patterns we list turned up: shell commands, network requests, reading environment variables, downloading and running code, or installing packages.
A scan lists patterns in the code. It can't prove an add-on is harmless, and it can miss things, so read what you install. How we scan
