## MWA and Expo details that are easy to get wrong

- MWA is Android-only and needs a development build (`expo run:android`); Expo Go cannot load it. iOS builds run without MWA.
- Polyfill Web Crypto with `react-native-quick-crypto`'s `install()` in its own module imported first by the entry file, then rebuild natively. Loaded late, signing fails before the wallet opens and looks like a wallet bug. The `react-native-get-random-values` plus `Buffer` recipe is outdated.
- Default to Kit (`@wallet-ui/react-native-kit`); use `@wallet-ui/react-native-web3js` only when the app already runs web3.js, and do not mix the two.
- `MobileWalletProvider` takes `cluster` and `identity`, with no `chain` or `endpoint` prop. Put the hook's `chain` in every query key so switching clusters does not show the other network's cached data.
- `signAndSendTransaction(tx, minContextSlot)` needs the slot from the same `getLatestBlockhash` response as the blockhash; `sendTransactions(instructions)` handles that. Both return once the wallet submits, so confirm the signature yourself.
- A dismissed wallet picker rejects `connect()`; offer a retry, not an error. "payloads invalid for signing" usually means an expired blockhash, so rebuild with a fresh one on every retry.
- Wallets show `identity.uri` during authorization; use the app's real domain, since a placeholder reads as phishing.
- Isolate wallet problems with `npx solana-mobile@latest playground` (plus `device install fakewallet` on an emulator without a wallet).

## Deep links

- iOS has no MWA, so signing goes through a wallet's deeplink protocol or SDK; Phantom universal links carry an encrypted session and a `redirect_link` back to your scheme. - Redirects need the app `scheme` registered; Android App Links need verified intent filters and iOS universal links need associated domains.
- Treat inbound link parameters as untrusted: show the transaction for review and do not sign automatically from a link.
