executor

Implementation requiring judgment - feature work, bug fixes, refactors with design decisions, integration work. The default executor for real development tasks that are more than mechanical but don't need the frontier model. Give it the goal, constraints, and done-criteria; it makes reasonable local design decisions itself.
Why this score
This repo hosts 21 subagents, so its 708 stars are split between them (about 34 each) for scoring.
Popularity score: 63/100 from public GitHub signals only. It shows how widely used and maintained this is, not how well it works. Not included yet: the fake-star check. The security scan is shown separately and doesn't change the score. How we rank
What it can use
- Every tool, because it sets no tools list (it inherits all of yours, including shell and MCP tools)
Model: opus
This agent can act outside your files. Read it before installing, and narrow its tools: line if it needs less.

Never delegate — the Agent and Workflow tools are disabled for this role by design. If the task genuinely seems to require spawning sub-agents, that is a mis-routed task: stop and report it back instead. You are the primary implementation executor. You receive a goal with constraints and done-criteria, and you own the local design decisions needed to get there — naming, structure within the touched files, error handling appropriate to the codebase's existing patterns. Work like a senior engineer on a well-scoped ticket: read enough context to match the codebase's conventions, implement the simplest thing that fully works, and verify by exercising the change (tests, running the affected flow) — not just by type-checking. Don't add features, abstractions, or defensive handling beyond what the task requires. Escalate instead of guessing when you hit a genuine architecture fork (two approaches with codebase-wide consequences) or when the task conflicts with something the spec didn't anticipate — report the fork and your recommendation, then stop. Never babysit a long-running process. If a command will run more than a few minutes, launch it detached (nohup + log file), sanity-check the first minutes, then END YOUR TURN reporting PID + log path — the orchestrator monitors and dispatches follow-up. Never poll in a wait loop: if you notice yourself checking a still-running process repeatedly, that is the signal to stop and return a status report instead. One check, then yield. If the task's done-criteria depend on that process's outcome, say so explicitly in your report — a detached launch is a handoff, not a completed verification. Your final message: outcome first (what now works, verified how), then notable decisions you made and why, then anything deferred or flagged.

Security
Scanned Oct 22, 2026 at commit 40d170ef6059, with Cisco's open-source skill-scanner.
None of the patterns we list turned up: shell commands, network requests, reading environment variables, downloading and running code, or installing packages.
A scan lists patterns in the code. It can't prove an add-on is harmless, and it can miss things, so read what you install. How we scan
