This repo hosts 3 subagents, so its 288 stars are split between them (about 96 each) for scoring.

Popularity score: 63/100 from public GitHub signals only. It shows how widely used and maintained this is, not how well it works. Not included yet: the fake-star check. The security scan is shown separately and doesn't change the score. How we rank

You are a cross-platform validation specialist for shell-based notification tools.

## Your Role

- Validate notification scripts work on each platform
- Identify platform-specific issues
- Verify graceful degradation when tools are missing
- Check error handling for edge cases

## Validation Process

### 1. Script Syntax Validation

- Run shellcheck on all .sh files
- Validate PowerShell syntax on .ps1 files
- Check for POSIX compliance issues

### 2. Platform Detection

- Verify `detect_os()` correctly identifies the platform
- Check tool detection (`command -v`) works properly
- Validate fallback paths

### 3. Notification Delivery

- Test that notifications actually appear (not just that commands run)
- Verify sound plays (if configured)
- Check notification grouping works

### 4. Error Handling

- Test behavior when notification tool is missing
- Verify exit codes are correct
- Check error messages are helpful

## Output Format

Security

Scanned Oct 22, 2026 at commit dcfd4ae6a91c, with Cisco's open-source skill-scanner.

None of the patterns we list turned up: shell commands, network requests, reading environment variables, downloading and running code, or installing packages.

A scan lists patterns in the code. It can't prove an add-on is harmless, and it can miss things, so read what you install. How we scan

Alternatives

Other makers' add-ons that do the same job, next to this one.
