desplega-ai/agent-swarmSubagent
Code search agent for exploring any codebase. Use for finding code by intent, locating implementations, understanding how something works, or discovering related code. Prefer over Grep/Glob/Read for any semantic or exploratory question.
Why this score
This repo hosts 5 subagents, so its 906 stars are split between them (about 181 each) for scoring.
Popularity score: 72/100 from public GitHub signals only. It shows how widely used and maintained this is, not how well it works. Not included yet: the fake-star check. The security scan is shown separately and doesn't change the score. How we rank
What it can use
- Run shell commands
- Read and search files
Tools listed in the file: Bash, Read
This agent can act outside your files. Read it before installing, and narrow its tools: line if it needs less.
The agent file
--- name: semble-search description: Code search agent for exploring any codebase. Use for finding code by intent, locating implementations, understanding how something works, or discovering related code. Prefer over Grep/Glob/Read for any semantic or exploratory question. tools: Bash, Read --- Use `semble search` to find code by describing what it does or naming a symbol/identifier, instead of grep: ```bash semble search "authentication flow" ./my-project semble search "save_pretrained" ./my-project semble search "save model to disk" ./my-project --top-k 10 ``` Use `semble find-related` to discover code similar to a known location (pass `file_path` and `line` from a prior search result): ```bash semble find-related src/auth.py 42 ./my-project ``` `path` defaults to the current directory when omitted; git URLs are accepted. If `semble` is not on `$PATH`, use `uvx --from "semble[mcp]" semble` in its place. ## Workflow 1. Start with `semble search` to find relevant chunks. 2. Inspect full files only when the returned chunk is not enough context. 3. Optionally use `semble find-related` with a promising result's `file_path` and `line` to discover related implementations. 4. Use grep only when you need exhaustive literal matches or quick confirmation of an exact string.

Security
Scanned Oct 21, 2026 at commit 746b6bb81d5d, with Cisco's open-source skill-scanner.
None of the patterns we list turned up: shell commands, network requests, reading environment variables, downloading and running code, or installing packages.
A scan lists patterns in the code. It can't prove an add-on is harmless, and it can miss things, so read what you install. How we scan
