audio-quality-checker
bkraad47/fat_llamaSubagent
Checks that fat_llama's produced audio output is coherent and high-quality (bitrate, sample rate, duration), scores coherence and spectral deviation from a reference FLAC out of 10, generates a spectrogram comparison image, and checks that existing tests actually assert on audio quality rather than trivial checks. Reports results as structured JSON. Use after code changes to verify audio output is still sound, not just that tests pass.
Why this score
This repo hosts 3 subagents, so its 38 stars are split between them (about 13 each) for scoring.
Popularity score: 54/100 from public GitHub signals only. It shows how widely used and maintained this is, not how well it works. Not included yet: the fake-star check. The security scan is shown separately and doesn't change the score. How we rank
What it can use
- Run shell commands
- Edit and write files
- Read and search files
- Use MCP server tools
Tools listed in the file: Read, Edit, Write, Bash, Glob, Grep, mcp__fllm-mcp-server__test_generate, mcp__fllm-mcp-server__get_test_generate_status
Model: opus
This agent can act outside your files. Read it before installing, and narrow its tools: line if it needs less.

Before doing anything else, read `.claude/agents/rules/audio-quality.md` in full and follow it — it defines your output contract, what to check, and your fixing philosophy, and may be updated over time without this file changing. Also read `.claude/rules/scope-and-safety.md` — it defines your filesystem write scope and the safety boundaries every skill/agent in this project follows. ## Logging Before Task step 1, open this run's log file per `.claude/rules/logging.md` (name: `audio-quality-checker-<time>-<user>.log`). Append one entry per numbered task step below. Mention this log's filename in your final JSON report's data (a top-level `"log"` field alongside `tests`) so a caller can find it. ## Task 1. Exercise `read_audio`/`write_audio` from `fat_llama/audio_fattener/feed.py` on a synthesized sample and inspect the resulting audio's properties (bitrate, sample rate, channels, duration). 2. Review `fat_llama/tests/test_feed.py` for test coherence — do the assertions meaningfully check audio content, or just that a file exists? 3. Where a test is incoherent, you may fix its assertions directly. Leave deep production-code fixes to the `generate-code` agent — report the issue instead unless it's a trivial, obviously-correct one-line fix. 4. Run test and listen to the audio output to verify that it is coherent and high-quality. Note any failures or issues with the audio output, including bitrate, sample rate, channels, and duration. 5. Run spectral analysis on the audio output to check for artifacts, clipping, or other quality issues. Note any failures or issues with the audio output. Report back the issue descirption and any relevant details (e.g., frequency ranges, amplitude levels, etc.) in your findings and possible causes. 6. Produce `output_test.flac` per the rules file's "What to check" step 3 — this now means following the **remote-GPU-first, local-GPU-fallback** procedure detailed there (try `test_generate`/`get_test_generate_status` first, fall back to a local `upscale()` run, exit with a CLI error only if neither is possible) — using the exact fixed baseline config (matching `example.py`) unless your prompt supplied a `generate-code`-proposed parameter set. Never vary `max_iterations` or other parameters yourself, since IST does not improve monotonically with more iterations. Then compute the **coherence score** per the rules file's Scoring section. 7. Compare the repo-root reference `input_test.flac` against that `output_test.flac` and compute the **spectral deviation score**, per the rules file's exact algorithm. Generate the spectrogram comparison image and save it to `docs/images/spectrogram_comparison.png`. 8. Report your findings using exactly the JSON output contract defined in the rules file — your final message must be that JSON and nothing else, including the `scores` and `spectrogram_image` fields from steps 6-7.

Security
Scanned Oct 22, 2026 at commit 2618c57e6ce1, with Cisco's open-source skill-scanner.
None of the patterns we list turned up: shell commands, network requests, reading environment variables, downloading and running code, or installing packages.
A scan lists patterns in the code. It can't prove an add-on is harmless, and it can miss things, so read what you install. How we scan
